#1: What kind of flooring best fits your needs?

Do you want hardwood, vinyl, laminate, or something else entirely? Everyone’s situation and specific needs are always different. Do you have cats? Dogs? Kids? Baby elephants? Depending on your living situation, it might be better for you to have one type over another. Be sure to tell your Authorized Garrison Collection Dealer everything they should know about how the floor is going to be used. By doing so, they will make sure you find exactly the floor you need!

#3: Care & Maintenance

Your brand new wood floors look great now, but what about in a year? Two years? Twenty years?

The key to keeping your wood, laminate, or vinyl floors looking new is proper maintenance. For some reason, that concept is scary for some people. We can assure you, maintaining your floor is easy! Really – it isn’t much different than what you are currently doing today.

Step one – Keep your floors clean. You don’t need to be obsessive, but make sure you sweep regularly. Don’t let too much dirt build up on the floor. Not only is it unsanitary, it can also cause damage to the floor. Some people also choose to vacuum their floors. This works, but be sure to follow the guidelines mentioned on this page. You wouldn’t want to unintentionally damage your floor in the process!
