Plant-based, VOC Free Finish Eligible for LEED Credits
One of the favorite features of this floor is the hand-applied, eco-friendly WOCA oil finish. The plant-based non-emitting finish is VOC (volatile organic compound) free and complies with South Coast Air Quality Management standards. This makes it qualify for several LEED credits including Rapidly Renewable Materials (Materials and Resources (MR) Credit 6) and Low-Emitting Adhesives and Sealants (Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ) Credit 4.2).
Although oil is an intrinsically softer finish than urethane finishes, the nature of the finish makes it much easier to repair. This, combined with rustic look of the hand wire-brushing treatment, makes the floor incredible easy to maintain for years to come. In fact, many customers say that the the floor only improves with “wear and tear”!
