Our much anticipated brand new line of European oak, Newport, is now available! Since its launch, this flooring has truly hit the ground running and with good reason. To put it simply, Newport offers all of the benefits of chic, fashionable French oak flooring at an astonishingly cost-effective price point!
When French oak flooring started to gain popularity in the United States two decades ago it was primarily for the elite. Due to its unique rustic appeal, elegant lines, and forgiving natural character the marketplace demand has risen exponentially. Having experienced the popularity of our French Connection, Villa Gialla, and other European oak lines we set out to create a new line of quality European oak flooring at an even more competitive price. With that, we are proud to introduce Newport!
This engineered flooring is crafted from character grade European white oak which includes natural color variations as well as knots, flags, and mineral streaks. These logs are live sawn (cut across the full width of the log as opposed to sawing for grade) allowing each plank to be a whopping 7 ½” wide! This style of sawing also showcases the full beauty of the cathedral grain pattern on each plank, which is distinctly different than the grain in traditional oak flooring. The top layer is wire brushed by hand to further reveal its natural characteristics, and then finished with eco-friendly, durable WOCA oil.
